Musician sharing tips 01 – Make extra money from affiliate links

I thought I’d start a series of posts of information that has helped me as a musician to make more money, save time and just general tips.

So starting with episode 1 Make extra money from affiliate links This is for people who have already released their music on iTunes and Amazon.

If you don’t already have it released i used ditto to release my EP.

If you have a website, facebook or twitter page, you can make revenue from the people you send to buy your music through iTunes & Amazon.

iTunes

For iTunes you can get an extra 5%, by signing up to their affliates program here.

So that means every time you direct someone to iTunes over social media or from your website, you get an extra 5% so long as they use your link.

An example is used on my homepage with an iTunes logo linked to my affiliate link.

Once logged in go to tools and there you have help for making banners or just the link to send people to.

After you’ve got this up and running you can login and check your stats to see how much it’s making you.

Amazon

For Amazon you can get an extra 4-15% by signing up to their affliates program here.

This is based on sales on MP3’s are 5%.

An example again on my homepage a Amazon logo linked to my affiliate link.

As before there are tool to help you.

Extra uses

If you blog about the music that you like, you could add an affiliate link to that bands page and earn money on people who buy their music through your link.

On your own purchases use your link to get cashback by creating an affiliate link before purchasing.

Hope this was some help to somebody nice and easy sign up and didn’t take that long to set up.
